The Equality Movement Conducted a Training for Psychologists


On February 21-23, the Equality Movement conducted training for “Supporting LGBT People with Inclusive Services and Care” for psychologists.

The training was attended by school psychologists, school bailiffs and students of psychology faculty from different universities. 30 delegates participated in total.

The training was financially supported by the Embassy of Kingdom of the Netherlands in Georgia.

In the framework of the workshops we discussed the following issues:

  • Stereotypes on Gender and Sexuality – Tamara Razmadze;
  • Homo / Bi / Transphobia and LGBTQ Health – Jason Shishniashvili;
  • Stigma and Discrimination – Anna Aptsiauri;
  • Campaign “You Are Not Alone” – Alla Parunova;
  • Working with members of the transphobic and homophobic community – Anna Chigvaria
