Equality Movement is the largest LGBTQI organization in Georgia with the mission to provide equal rights and opportunities for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and intersex persons in Georgia.

Job Position:  Advocacy Officer

Location: Tbilisi, Georgia

Probationary Period: 3 Months

 Deadline: 12 May

Your Role:
As our Advocacy Officer, you will lead efforts to influence public policy, raise awareness of LGBTQ issues,
and mobilize community members to take action. You will work closely with stakeholders, government
officials, and partner organizations to promote positive change and ensure that the voices of LGBTQ
individuals are heard and respected.

Responsibilities:
– Research and analyze legislation, policies, and initiatives affecting the LGBTQ community
– Develop and implement advocacy strategies and campaigns to advance our organizational goals
– Build relationships with policymakers, international and local partners, community leaders, and allies to
promote LGBTQ rights and equality
– Organize and participate in meetings, events, and other initiatives to raise awareness and mobilize support
– Monitor political developments and engage in coalition-building efforts to amplify our impact

Requirements:
– Deep commitment to LGBTQ rights and social justice
– Proven experience in advocacy, public policy, or community organizing
– Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
