On February 21st, a performance called “Balishis Piri” (Pillowcase), which represents the lives of LGBTQI people, was presented by Andro Dadiani at the Equality Movement Resource centre in Zugdidi.
“People always search for a private sheltered place. We talk about our planet, our continent, our city, our apartment, our room and even more private space – our bed, in which we spend half of our lives. Homosexual people are always hiding. We can be calm only on our small territories – in our bed.
For the last couple of years, my constant tension turned into neurosis. My boyfriend told me that I sleep talk. Whenever we have guests and it comes to sharing my bedroom with someone, I’m always afraid that I will mumble something suspicious about my life that will start mockery, insults and violence towards my life. The performance “Balishis Piri” expresses exactly those unvarnished, plain thoughts about myself, my incurable pain, my fears that took over my entire body. I can’t get rid of them and they make me lose my inner peace.” – Andro Dadiani said.
and sometimes even there we can’t feel secure.
